World, you took me from my Father’s care.
My grief and sorrows you could not bear.
You enticed me with pleasures,
And ensured their gain.
But now my conscience is marred
and my soul is slain.
Oh where could I go and find relief?
To whom can I turn in this hour of grief?
because to share my story I was too ashamed. But then God reminded me of the reason Jesus came:
He came to bear my grief and cast away my sorrows, bringing new hope for a brighter tomorrow. For Jesus loves me this I know, and because he forgave me, him I owe.
